RHM#191, Ideale 53 'Professionel’

This, saddle made about 1953, had torn at the nose.  I replaced the leather, using big copper rivets.  Ideale used the term ‘professionel’ to indicate leather that has been treated to make it waterproof and “indeformable.” I achieved the desired effect with baking soda and beeswax.
